When soul-crushing traffic gets us down, L.A.’s finest venues are there to pick us up. Like a friendly hug, L.A.’s best restaurants, bars, shops and institutions remind us that there’s so much to love about this city.
So we asked you, our readers, to let us know which one of those spots you love the most. Last year, we tasked Angelenos with nominating their favorite businesses in L.A. for the Time Out Love Local Awards. After we whittled that down to a shortlist, we then asked our readers to crown just one most-loved spot in the entire area.
The votes are all in and counted, and we’re excited to say that there was a clear winner: The Tap Room at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena.
The Gilded Age resort is like a staycation dream come true, and its signature hotel bar is the easiest way to get a taste—or sip—of the high life. Decked out with dark wood, cozy couches and a patio that feels like peak resort life, the Tap Room balances luxurious ambience with casual approachability. The bar boasts a menu of classic Prohibition-era cocktails and some choice local craft beer picks (including Pasadena-brewed fave Craftsman 1903) alongside a selection of classed-up bar bites. Make sure to swing by on Friday and Saturday nights for live jazz.
Congrats to the winner of Time Out L.A.’s 2021 Love Local Award!
